Learn about the owners and the history of OTDC

Reese and Tammy are very grateful to their families, friends, and customers for all their outstanding support. It is their sincere wish that every person visiting Old Town Dessert Café enjoys their experience.

Reese and Tammy Browning met while working at Hewlett Packard Company in Roseville. Reese started working at HP in 1975 and left in 1999 and Tammy was also employed by HP. After leaving HP Reese went to work for another Corporation specializing in after sales customer service. This job required a significant amount of travel and while home between trips Reese and Tammy would go out to eat at many of the excellent restaurants in Old Town Auburn. One of their favorite places was Old Town Pizza and one day it came up for sale. After some discussion they decided to purchase Old Town Pizza in 2002. While running Old Town Pizza (OTP) they heard over and over from customer after customer that the Old Town area needed an Ice Cream and Candy shop.

In 2007 the Shaw Building, across the street from Old Town Pizza went on the market and after many months of discussions and negotiations Reese and Tammy were able to purchase the Shaw Building in July of 2008. Reese and Tammy decided this would be the future location of the Old Town Dessert Café. Construction began in August 2008 and the Dessert Café officially opened on February 13th, 2009.

Reese and Tammy live in Auburn about 1 mile away from Old Town Auburn. Besides having both Old Town Pizza and Old Town Dessert Café in Old Town Auburn they also have a 2nd Old Town Pizza location in Lincoln. Check out their Old Town Pizza website at otpizza.net.

Reese and Tammy feel very fortunate and blessed to have such a close and supportive family. Virtually every member of their family either has worked or still works in one of the family businesses. Their son, Mason Browning, is the General Manager of Old Town Pizza Lincoln and their daughter Melanee is the General Manager of Old Town Pizza Auburn. Tammy’s brother Paul Manages OTP Auburn on most evenings. Reese’s parents Ed and Pat Browning are Co-Owners of Old Town Pizza and are very active with office management, banking, and maintenance of both locations. They also worked countless hours in the construction of the Lincoln OTP location and also the Old Town Dessert Café. In the beginning their daughter Morgan helped established the Marketing strategy and tactical plans for Old Town Pizza their son-in-law Russ Yeager built the OTP and OTDC websites. Russ also created the OTDC logo.

Reese and Tammy thank you for the support over the years. It is their wish that every person visiting an Old Town Pizza or the Old Town Dessert Café enjoys their dining experience.
